Sanctional Programme with Annual Intake

Basic Training Center, Kokrajhar which was established in the year 1948. It has been imparting teachers training to elementary teachers of Assam since its inception. At present it is the only sole Bodo Medium teacher training institute all over in Assam. The Basic Training Centre in Kokrajhar offers a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program sanctioned to admit 50 trainees annually. This program is designed to provide comprehensive teacher training for those aspiring to teach at the elementary level. Through this structured two-year curriculum, trainees receive foundational education in teaching methodologies, child development, and classroom management, equipping them with the skills necessary to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment for young students. The program also emphasizes practical teaching experiences to ensure that graduates are well-prepared for real-world educational settings.

D.El.Ed. course, with intake capacity of 50 students with course duration of two year, was permitted and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).The Basic Training Centre, Kokrajhar is equipped with a well furnished infrastructure with a total campus area of 26568.8 sqm. We also have a well qualified and capable teaching and non teaching staff that satisfy NCTE criteria.
